About

I'm an illustrator specialising in childrens books and art.

I graduated from Liverpool John Moores University in 2003 and have been represented by 'The Organisation' agency since then, being published in titles such as: The Selkie Child (Oxford University Press) My First Bible for Marks and Spencer, My Favorite Michael (Little Tiger Press) The Christmas Wish, The Lonely Chick and The Best Dog in The World ( Scholastic Scholastic) by Sylvia Green amongst many others.

Recently I have had the pleasure of being commissioned for several self published children's books. And I recently completed the second book in a series by homegrown publishing house 'Sparklypoo' publications 'Two Mums' following on from the success of 'Two Dads', Carolyn Robertsons' first book, focusing on adoption in the LGTBQ community. Please go to the 'Latest Work and News' tab just above.

As well as children's book illustration, I also specialise in murals and bespoke pieces for bedrooms and nurseries which can be commissioned through the 'contact' page on this site, I enjoy making bespoke work as personal as possible and over the years I have been proud to produce countless pieces of original art as gifts for babies and children that will be kept as a momento for many years to come.

I work in a combination of watercolour and concentrated watercolour ink, occasionally adding fineliner or pencil depending on the intensity of the piece and I enjoy trying out new styles and approaches.

Inspiration for my work has become much easier since having children myself, although time and energy has become

'strangely' hard to come by, but I'm never short of ideas even if they have to been written in haste on the back of a shopping list at 2am!

Thank you for visiting my site, I hope you have enjoyed my work and please don't hesitate to enquire about a commission of your own.
